A leading Genesee County law firm specializing in Family Law, Criminal Defense, and DUI/Drunk Driving
From start to finish, we marshal clients through the divorce and child custody process. Our firm handles all family matters including alimony, child custody, parenting time, child support, property division and retirement separation. While many of our cases settle out of court, we pride ourselves on being aggressive litigators in the courtroom to get our clients the outcomes they need. Once we know the assigned judge and the unique facts of the case, we work closely with our clients to develop results oriented strategies to help achieve the most desirable outcome.
In any given year, we represent around 100 family law clients with many different problems ranging from trying to move out of state with children to seeking to modify custody or increase spousal support.
A drunk driving charge can happen to anyone. Our criminal defense practice largely focuses on representing clients charged with Operating While Intoxicated (OWI). Nationally labeled as a DUI (Driving Under the Influence), an OWI charge can cripple someone professionally, cost him or her their license and land them in the county jail or state prison. Our firm represents approximately 30 clients per year who have been charged with an OWI. We have been in many contested hearings that focus on probable cause for the stop to highlighting errors in the Datamaster DMT breath test. However, our specialty is resolving drunk driving cases without any court litigation. We work with our clients to put them in a position to generate the best possible outcome in a difficult situation.
Our firm also handles countless other criminal cases every year. Whether it’s a retail fraud or driving while license suspended misdemeanor, or a serious felony charge, we are in court five days a week with clients faced with criminal charges. All of our judges and prosecutors know us and trust our counsel. We have also developed strong connections with our specialty courts including Sobriety Court, Drug Court, Veteran’s Court and Mental Health Court aimed at getting client’s positive outcomes without incarceration and toward a positive path in life. From arraignment to sentencing, clients trust our firm when their freedoms are at stake.
Our office is conveniently located in Grand Blanc, Michigan and is open Monday through Friday 8 am to 4 pm. We are fully staffed and someone is always available to answer our phone and email. Our firm takes great pride in unparalleled response time and accessibility to our clients.
