Kelly received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Michigan State University and earned her Juris Doctor from the Thomas M. Cooley College of Law.  After graduating from law school, Kelly worked for the City of Flint where she served as prosecutor, assisted in administering marijuana facility licenses, and advised numerous multiple member bodies including the Planning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, Historic District Commission, and City Council.

In her work as a Prosecutor for the City of Flint, Kelly handled hundreds of cases. She was a tireless advocate for domestic violence victims and her diligent work put countless violent criminals behind bars. Kelly is well known in Genesee County courtrooms as an effective and trusted litigator.

As a native of Genesee County, Michigan, Kelly has strong professional ties in the local legal community and a deep commitment to the betterment of the greater Flint region. She is recognized as being a compassionate and committed advocate, with strong communication skills and an unparalleled ability to connect with clients.

Kelly is a member of the Michigan Bar Association, Genesee County Bar Association, and admitted to practice in Seventh Circuit Court, United States District Court-Eastern District, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.  She currently represents clients in the areas of family law, abuse and neglect, and criminal defense.
